well, not very garrulous in 2011... i must made some adjustements with my work and other hobbies  :) i have discovered game of throne this year (in french of course but before the tv serie)... in my opinion it is the nicest fantasy book since i've read the silmarilion (20 years ago to say the least).   in short, we have a good chance to see some fan art over here...

Wow man, your renditions of Tolkien has been an amazing treat to see!

Wherever you are, I hope you are doing fine. And, will continue to make more of Tolkien related artwork.
Happy Birthday!

I notice you’re from France. I visited there once years ago. I love the Versailles Palace! If I ever go back I want to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night!

I've found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don't know much their own country,
much less anyone else's.  :(

I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness about what's going on in the rest of the world.

Recently I’ve started a personal initiative; if I notice someone on DA  is from another country, If I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them know that others are thinking about their home. :)

This update is about your home! Consider it a birthday present!

Hey Thomas,

Today, I discovered your wonderful gallery and your Tolkien fanart. Being a great fan myself but utterly unskilled to draw, paint or photoshop, I really rely on other artists to (re-)create Tolkien's visions.
I have to say, you've got a very unique take on it and put a lot of consideration to it. So, it's refreshing to see that not all of Tolkien's fans gave into the looks of P. Jackson's films, and I love your art for this. - Please, keep that up! :-)

There are so many wonderful pictures in your gallery, I could have faved them all, but I think I have made a very good choice to give my :+fav:s to your Valaraukar, your vision of Galdriel in the First Age (a wonderful image!), and your picture of Alqualonde. They really stand out!

CU & greetings to France,

Miou Q. B-)
thanks so much for the kind words. i must pick up again my tablet because this days my inspiration has faded
In fact my technique isn't satisfying at all ! :)

i love the LOTR series but, considering my age, i have developped my own visions since the 90's !! ahahah
Hey,

You're very welcome!
I seriously hope that your inspiration comes back. We've got a saying in Germany that goes "It's half the rent!" and I think it's especially true for artists - no matter how crappy you think your technique is. :-)
I love the LotR-movies, too, and I also knew the novel beforehand. I read it in ... uhm ... 1994 (?). But I never had a clear vision about the looks of the characters and places, I guess. So it's interesting to see how other readers/fans envision them.

CU & greetings, Miou B-)
